A year after the death of her husband, the head of a flower arrangement school, Miyabe Kasumi was living alone and working at a club run by her friend Fujiwara Satomi. It was then that she met Yamazaki Kazuo, a customer at the club. Unaware that Yamazaki was a con artist, Kasumi was touched by his kindness in filling the void in her heart and began dating him with the intention of marriage.
