Aviation engineer Viktor Rosanov dreams of getting behind the controls of an airplane - he is sure that this is the only way he can realize his capabilities. The plant's management sends Rosanov to the North and instructs him to prepare a new aircraft for flights. He performs the task brilliantly, and when he returns, he is appointed head of the airport and is included in the flight crew lists. But now Victor is not sure that heaven is the only way of his life.
